The Planning Process in Action

Every seven years, the Montgomery Planning Commission required municipalities to update their previous seven-year plan. Souderton and Telford are unique in that they do their revitalzation planning together.

The process has started and we are looking for public input in setting the goals for the next seven years of revitalization work in the two boroughs.

Please complete this questionnaire! The survey closed on Dec. 31, 2009. The results are being compiled. By popular demand, we will beopening the survey again to keep adding your imput.

Your answers are important and they will be shared with the volunteers from each community that comprise the Revitalziation Committees. Your input is important to assure that the stakeholders- residents, busienss owners and property owners- are heard.

Give us your email at the end of the questionnaire and we will enter you into a drawing for a dinner for two at a Souderton or Telford restuarant. You may enter through December 31.

We attached the original Revitalization Plan that produced the Main Streets program, the streetscape in Souderton and the Marketplace at the Telford Station among other achievements. Please feel free to download it to see what kind of planning is underway.

The new Montgomery County Economic Development program guidelines have been added. As the planning process progresses, the committees will be keeping an eye for potential projects that can be funded through this program.
