Their Story

Sunrise Sunflower Farm has been in the Landis family for 10 generations. Sunrise Sunflower Farm produces seasonal fruits and vegetables including strawberries, asparagus, and lettuce. They also specialize in a variety of sunflowers and sunflower seeds. Started back in 1734, Sunrise Sunflower Farm was once a dairy. When the current Landis family generation took over, they raised pigs for about 20 years. Now they focus on seasonal produce and flowers, especially sunflowers. If you are driving along Morwood Road, you may see the large fields of sunflowers. Farming plays an important role in our regional history and the Landis family is happy to keep that history alive with continued generations of farming.
