Ribbon Cuttings

The Ecomonic Restructuring Committee and staff work with new business owners to create a photo opportunity with the local press. The business owner supplies information that is turned into a press release.

On the day of the ribbon-cutting, the business owner and a team of their staff and/or family, the respective mayor and a representative from the Indina Valley Chamber of Commerce and STMS volunteers all pose for a photo. The Economic Restrucuting Committee purchased giant scissors that really work.

The Souderton Indpendent and The Reporter have been good about running the photos. It is a good way to let the local cstomers know that another new business has opened in Souderton or Telford.

Souderton-Telford Main Streets Welcomes Edward Jones Investments

Souderton-Telford Main Streets welcomed Edward Jones to downtown with a short Welcome Ceremony and Ribbon cutting on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at noon. The public was invited to join in the festivities to welcome another new business to Souderton.

Greg McGovern, a former U.S. Army Captain, is the new financial advisor at the Souderton branch office located at 650 East Broad Street, Souderton. The Edward Jones office is open from Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm and evening and weekends by appointment.

“We’re proud to have Greg represent us in Souderton,” said James D. Weddle, the firm’s managing partner. “The people of this community have grown to rely on our firm for their investment needs, and I am confident Greg will continue our outstanding tradition by providing one-on-one service.”
