Shop Main Street Pledge PDF Print E-mail

Souderton-Telford Main Streets is dedicated to revitalizing the core business districts within the two boroughs, but we do not work in a vacuum. We are part of a nation-wide, and even international, effort to bring life back to the downtowns and urban cores of our boroughs, towns and cities.

nationtrustlogo.gifThe National Trust for Historic Preservation created the Main Street program over 25 years ago. They have not rested on their laurels. They are actively creating tools and programs to continue their support and assistance to the individual local programs.

For the 2007 holiday season, they have launched the Shop Main Street Holiday Challenge .

They are encouraging people to pledge to purchase at least one holiday gift in downtown at an independent retailer or at their shop Main Street website . They have pooled together the best in cybershopping offered by independent downtown retailers.

(If you have a strong retail component to your website and your business is located in downtown Telford or Souderton, contact the STMS office for details on how to get your business listed on that website.)

Learn more about the Shop Main Street Holiday Challenge and make your pledge .

By the way, if you want a Fight Sprawl/Shop Downtown bumper sticker, we have them at the STMS office for free. Pam Coleman picked up a handful when she was attending class for national accreditation at the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Main Street Center a few years ago.

Winning Accountant PDF Print E-mail

Congratulations to Ted Landis of Pritchard, Bieler, Gruver and Willison, P.C. for winning the 2007 Best of Bucks-Mont Readers Choice Contest for the Accountant/CPA (Individual) category.

Ted Landis, CPA, CFP let us know that he was awarded this honor by the readers of The Intelligencer newspaper. Pritchard, Bieler, Gruver and Willison, P.C. is located at 127 East Broad Street in Souderton.

This is truly a remarkable achievement when one considers that Souderton is on the fringe of the readership of the Doylestown-based Intelligencer. Ted must have many happy and satisified clients to win this recognition. We are proud to have him in Souderton! Congratulations, Ted!
