Committees
Souderton-Telford Main Streets follows the traditional Main Street organization with a Board or Directors and three committees. At this time, the functions of the Organization Committee are being done by the Executive Board.
The Board of Directors guides the long-term goals of the organization. They focus on fundraising, long-term planning and other elements needed for the ongoing function of a healthy organization. The full Board meets on a quarterly basis at the STMS office at 18 Green Street in Souderton.
The Executive Board consists of the four officers and the past chairperson. They work with the staff to handle the week-to-week operation of the organization. They oversee the budget and finances, set policy and manage the staff. They meet on a monthly basis or as needed.
The Design Committee focuses on the aesthetic elements within the two boroughs. From sidewalks to pocket parks to building facades, this group influences how the two boroughs look. Look under this committee’s tab for resources such as façade grants, links to resources for renovating buildings, information on the National Historic District and federal tax credits.
The Economic Restructuring Committee works to strengthen our existing businesses and entice new businesses into the boroughs. They develop resources and contacts that help the local business community. Look at their tab for resources for business owners.
The Promotions Committee spends countless hours planning how to draw people into the boroughs to appreciate the wonderful communities of friends, neighbors and families that we have. They run the annual Souderton Holiday Parade, two annual holiday tree lighting ceremonies, and the Indian Valley Farmers’ Market.
Look under their respective tabs for how to get your business involved so you can benefit from the crowds that enjoy these activities.
