Pennsylvania offers qualified employers* the opportunity to train new and existing employees through the Guaranteed Free Training (GFT) Program offered through WEDnetPA.

The WEDnetPA-managed GFT Program offers two training programs. These programs give qualified in-state businesses and out-of-state companies relocating to the economic-friendly business climate of Pennsylvania the opportunity to train new and existing employees.

The first program, Basic Skills Training, provides funding for training in a variety of basic and entry-level skills. Information Technology Training, the second program, provides funding for training in a variety of information technology and advanced applied manufacturing subjects.  The company chooses the training provider. For more information about the Guaranteed Free Training Program go to www.wednetpa.com

The Economic Restructuring Committee has been working for the past number of years to gather and create the tools new businesses need to start out as strong as possible.

For many new business owners, they start out with a great idea but can be overwhelmed by all the details necessary to take that idea into the marketplace. Fortunately, we have many partners in helping a new business get established.

We have divided the list of links between local resources and state and federal programs. These are all partner programs that are willing to assist new busiensses to get started.

Your business plan is the first tool you must create for your business. It will help you obtain funding and serve as a yard stick to measure your progress over the years. We are fortunate to have easy access to several SBDC programs at local universities.

The Small Business Development Centers specialize in different types of businesses. Ask questions to determine which one best matches your needs. They can walk you through creating a business plan and sharpen any new skills you may need for your busienss. When was the last time you did small business accounting or handled payroll?

The Montgomery County SCORE provides experienced professionals to guide you through the process of opening or expanding a business.

Go browse through this website and find all the gems we have collected for your use.
